Young people awarded for creativity and imagination in mental health poster competition for schools

Walk in My Shoes (WIMS) celebrates students for their efforts to promote positive mental health through art.

Students from primary and secondary schools and Youthreach centres and Further Education and Training (FET) centres from across Ireland were celebrated at a Mission Possible ceremony.

The awards ceremony took place in St Patrick’s University Hospital on 29 April to announce the winners and runners-up of the Mission Possible 2025/26 competition.

Fostering positive mental health and wellbeing

Our Mission Possible School Achievement Awards is an annual competition that showcases the meaningful work schools, Youthreach centres and Further Education and Training (FET) centres across the country are undertaking to foster positive mental health and wellbeing in the classroom and in the community.

For this year’s competition, students across Ireland were invited to design a poster that creatively shares a positive mental health message. Through art, words and imagination, students were invited to explore what positive mental health and wellbeing means to them - and help spark important conversations in their school communities and beyond.

There were almost 200 entries this year, a record number of entries to the competition since its inception in 2017.
