Funky Shoe Day

Walk in your funky shoes

We encourage schools throughout Ireland and students to raise awareness of mental health by hosting ‘Funky Shoe’ days where students and teachers step out of their comfort zone by wearing shoes they normally wouldn’t to school.

Walk in your funky shoes

Some schools have arranged walks to further raise awareness, and teachers have taken part in high heel races/ wellington races… anything goes! Funky Shoes Day is a way to promote positive mental health while still flagging the importance of recognising mental health difficulties and knowing where to go for help and when to ask for help. To take part all you have to do is organise a day in your school and remind everyone to wear their funky shoes. Registering your school is not required but we’d love to see photos of your event. If you’d like us to add them to our website you can send them to info@walkinmyshoes.ie
