Webinar series for teachers: Understanding anxiety for teachers

Willow Grove Adolescent Unit, in partnership with Walk in My Shoes, invites teachers and school staff to a webinar exploring anxiety as it may present in the classroom setting.

The webinar takes place on Tuesday, 22 September from 7pm to 8pm.

The event will be hosted by clinical staff from Willow Grove Adolescent Unit, the dedicated adolescent unit within St Patrick’s Mental Health Serivces (SPMHS), with insights from Clinical Nurse Managers Carol McCormack and Petrina Tighe.

What to expect

This hour-long webinar will present the signs and symptoms of anxiety and anxiety disorders in young people. The talk will also signpost teachers to supports available if they are concerned about a student. There will be a question-and-answer session following the talk.

The session is designed specifically for teachers and school staff working with young people aged 12 to 17.

Following the webinar, attendees who joined the live event will receive fact sheets relating to the webinar content and a certificate of attendance.
