Parenting advice from Dr Colman Noctor on the Ray D'Arcy Show

Dr Colman Noctor is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with St Patrick's Mental Health Services.

He joined Kathryn Thomas  on RTÉ Radio 1 to respond to parenting issues and answer listeners’ questions about their children’s mental health and wellbeing.

In this programme, Dr Colman Noctor responded to queries on:

  • sibling jealousy (rivalry) among young children
  • school attendance issues among teenagers and why some teenagers smoke marijuana
  • young children unable to settle at night
  • young children witnessing an accident, such as a fall by a family member, and developing a fear of danger
