RTE Presenter Blathnaid Treacy and U2 star Adam Clayton, along with Ireland’s top bloggers will be sharing their selfies on Friday 31st March to launch the new #MindYourSelfie School Resource Packs; our exciting school mental health activity pack. Blathnaid, RTE’s popular Young People’s presenter, is the newest Ambassador for Walk in My Shoes and she joined CEO St. Patrick’s Mental Health Services Paul Gilligan and students of James’ Street Primary School in Dublin to launch the new packs.

Our new campaign, #MindYourSelfie Resource Packs, is a free classroom activity pack for Primary and Secondary schools. Each pack has interactive mental health activities that teachers can use in the classroom. The packs include Mindfulness Audio Clips, a Selfie ‘Steem activity, Wellness Wall instructions and more.

CEO of St. Patrick’s Mental Health Services, Paul Gilligan, said, “We first developed the #MindYourSelfie eBooks for teachers to assist them in starting the conversation about wellbeing with their students, and now we have interactive activities for teachers to use inside the classroom – mental health resources that will enable them to continue the conversation about mental health in a fun, creative and accessible manner.”

RTE Presenter, Blathnaid Treacy, said, “I am delighted to come on board as an Ambassador for Walk in My Shoes and to support this initiative. We take selfies almost every day, so what a great way to raise awareness for this very worthwhile cause by posting a selfie and using the hashtag #MindYourSelfie.”

Tamara Nolan, Communications Manager at St Patrick’s Mental Health Services, said, “The School Resource packs are available for download on walkinmyshoes.ie. This Friday, 31st March, we are asking all social media users to join us in raising awareness for our new school resources, by taking a selfie and sharing it using the hashtag #MindYourSelfie”.
