WIMS FM

From 2014 to 2019, Walk in My Shoes Radio (WIMS FM) took to the airwaves during the week leading up to World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

Tuning into mental health

Ireland’s only pop-up radio station dedicated solely to promoting positive mental health, WIMS FM broadcast live from a studio in St Patrick's University Hospital and aired over 70 hours of live programming every year, with an eclectic mix of lifestyle, culture and mental health features.

Tuning into mental health

WIMS FM aimed to raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health by opening conversations and encouraging listeners to take early action by seeking support and, where needed, professional advice.

Over the years, many public figures and professional broadcasters generously offered their time to come on air and present shows, from our Ambassador Bláthnaid Treacy, Kodaline’s Steve Garrigan, and social media sensation James Patrice to Maia Dunphy, Tara Flynn, Shay Byrne, Sarina Bellissimo and many, many more – and that’s not to mention some very special guests along the way!

While we would love to be back on air, in light of coronavirus and with everyone’s safety in mind, in 2020, we moved from the WIMS FM studio to WIMS Live, an exciting online programme of events and activities from 5-10 October.
